What actually counts
Hitting the number is one thing. Proving it the way the consulate wants is another.
Income or savings — or both
For the Non-Lucrative Visa you can meet the bar with passive income, with money in the bank, or with a mix. The Digital Nomad Visa is built around steady earnings from outside Spain, so income is what matters there.
It must be provable and stable
Pension statements, dividend records, employment contracts, six to twelve months of bank statements. A large sum that landed last month raises questions unless you can document where it came from.
Family raises the bar
Every person on the application adds a fixed amount. Consulates apply this strictly, so build the family figure into your plan from the start rather than adding people later.
